Job description

We are seeking an accomplished and professional General Manager to oversee the operations of a prestigious new hospitality venue located in Brunswick. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in food and beverage management in high level roles and demonstrates executive-level leadership. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the direction and success of a high-class establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Lead all aspects of venue operations, ensuring the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and drive profitability.
  • Food and Beverage Management: Oversee all food and beverage operations, including menu development, inventory management, supplier negotiations, staffing, and quality assurance. Ensure the delivery of exceptional dining experiences that reflect the venue's high standards.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate closely with senior management and board members to align venue operations with strategic objectives. Participate in strategic planning and provide insights to support the long-term vision of the venue.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor financial performance, prepare comprehensive reports, and provide strategic recommendations for growth and improvement. Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial targets to ensure the venue's financial health.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of hospitality professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Promote teamwork, accountability, and professional development within the team.
  • Guest Experience: Drive initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty. Address guest feedback and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive reputation.
  • Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with local community stakeholders, partners, and suppliers. Represent the venue at industry events and community functions to enhance its profile and reputation.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in food and beverage management, with a proven track record at an executive level.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of working effectively with senior management and board members.
  • Demonstrated success in managing high-end hospitality venues (5 years exp required), with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful operational strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in food and beverage management or hospitality.
  • Experience working in high-class, high-volume hospitality environments.
  • Knowledge of the local market and industry trends.
