Venue Manager
The Bardon Bowls club has an excellent opportunity for a Club Manager to join this successful local Bowling and Community Club.
The main requirements of the role are;
- Hands on position managing the day-to-day operation of the venue
- Understanding of financials, including day to day bookkeeping and budgets
- Managing entertainment and event roster
- Managing functions and creating new bookings opportunities
- Ensuring compliance with OH&S and OLGR and COVID safe polices
- Ensuring a clean, safe and well-maintained venue at all times
- Managing bar & cellar operations, including stock control and minimizing wastage
Candidates must have or be willing to obtain prior to commencement:
- QLD RSA & RSG
- QLD RMLV & Approved Managers License
- National Police Check
Essential Skills and experience;
- A flexible leadership style to manage and train staff
- Strong understanding of costs and able to manage labor and cost of sales
- Experience in day to day book keeping and budgets
- Outstanding people management skills
- Fantastic verbal communication skills
- Strong bar management knowledge
- Experience in venue management
- Reliable and flexible
- Previous experience working with committee run facilities
Located just 5 kilometres from Brisbane’s CBD we have a range of craft beers on tap and live music and rotating food trucks and regular support from the local community.
The club’s regular hours are Thursday to Sunday although some hours may be required out of these days. Flexible working will be considered.
