This is an exciting new career for an experience Configuration management Officer, where your unique skills will see you providing key advice and services in support of Guided Missile Destroyer Combat System Integrator (DDG CSI) activities.

The Configuration Management Officer will be responsible for ensuring that product configuration identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits for the DDG CSI Project are accomplished in accordance with the company configuration management system and the particular needs of individual programs.

The Role

• Prepare and maintain the Configuration Management Plan for Guided Missile Destroyer Combat System Integrator (DDG CSI) Project
• Identify configuration items and parts and define the systems and/or parent equipment’s design architecture in system alongside verifying the design document releases and changes for completeness.
• Support the change control process.
• Update change and document records in the Configuration Status Accounting System to reflect Change Board decisions.
• Provide configuration management support to product development teams and other functions.
• Provide support for product audits and reviews of software and hardware configuration items.
• Identify improvements of the project configuration management system and tools.
• Address configuration management issues.
• May be required to mentor others in confirmation management.
• Work with the DDG CSI engineering team directly on the Engineering Change Process.
• Occasional travel may be required within Australia to fulfil the requirements of this role.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Requires a University Degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience required.
• Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of a technical or business discipline.
• Requires practical knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the business with the ability to make enhancements and leverage knowledge in daily work.
• Experience in configuration management tools and processes; CMT-U, DOORS, JIRA, WINDCHILL, Objective, SharePoint, would be an advantage.
