We are seeking a talented CNC Laser Programmer/Estimator to join our team and playa pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the heart of our operations.
About the role
Based at our Forrestfield branch and reporting to the Section Laser Foreman, we are searching for applicants interested in embarking on a career in CNC Programming.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Program, nest, optimise and schedule cutting programs using CAD/CAM, pipe and tube software and Primecut software for internal production and external customer orders.
- Responding to a diverse range of external and internal enquiries via phone and email.
- Prepare and submit quotes and process customer orders.
- Collaborate with internal sales and customers to understand requirements and offer innovative solutions.
- Maintain tight stock control within programming and the workshop.
- Identify upcoming material requirements and optimise production efficiency.
The successful candidate will hold the following skills and experiences:
- 2D CAD Experience – be able to draw from hand sketches and PDF drawings.
- Experience in nesting packages, experience in Primecut/Pipe and Tube laser software will be highly regarded.
- Previous customer service/sales experience.
- Experience in reading and interpreting engineering and technical drawings.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to problem solve and be proactive.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Outstanding communication skills.
