Cnc Machinist

Our client is a high-tech manufacturer located in Brisbane's Bay side suburb of Capalaba, specializing in designing and manufacturing cold plates, cooling systems, and heat exchangers for demanding thermal management applications. As a world-class supplier of turbo machinery and large cold plates for radar, they are at the forefront of precision component manufacturing in Australia, with a focus on Defence, Aerospace, Satcom, and UAV industry sectors.Position Overview:Due to ongoing company growth, they are currently seeking highly skilled CNC Machinists to join milling cells. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of machining departments, involving the setup, proving, and running of various CNC machines. This position requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and compliance with ISO accreditation and quality procedures.Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:

• Setup, prove, and run a variety of CNC machines.
• Supervise TA's (Technical Assistants).
• Produce and follow workshop documentation.
• Assist in researching and proving new tooling, fixturing, and machining techniques.
• Conduct thorough inspections of parts against 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship.
• General maintenance and housekeeping of the production workplace and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with ISO accreditation and quality procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Fully trade qualified.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Ability to program at the machine.
• Proficient in inspecting parts against 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Experience with 4-axis and 5-axis machining centers is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Mastercam is an advantage.
• Experience working on 'one-off' parts to high tolerances.
