This market-leading Aviation company requires two experienced CNC Machinists to work at its South Brisbane workshop due to an increase in business.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Team Lead the CNC Programmer / Machinist is responsible for assigned component projects whilst maintaining open lines of communication with their Leading Hand, Project, and Planning Teams. You will have experience in machining components to Aviation Standard AS9100 or similar standards.
Successful candidate’s core role responsibilities:
· Undertake various CNC machine setting and operating tasks in line with planned hours and scheduling.
· Contribute towards best practice in relation to CNC programming, setting, and operating of machines.
· Contribute to the determination of planned hours for quotations with the Leading hand and Sales Team.
· Effectively provide detailed communication to the Leading Hand and Sales Team to assist with progress updates with customers.
· Other duties as may be directed by your supervisor from time to time.

· A higher level CNC Milling experience compared to CNC turning.
· Experience using Fanuc and Okuma controllers.
· Experience working within an aircraft/aviation environment
· Strong communication skills.
· Experience in a fast-paced customer-focused work environment with multiple priorities and project deadlines.
· Highly involved with industry-standard AS9100
