The Role
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for manufacturing precision components, with a particular focus on the CNC Lathe. You will work on varied and interesting projects unique to this organisation and you will be a part of a supportive team environment. This position consists of a 38-hour week with optional overtime.
You should have demonstrated ability in reading technical drawings and working to tight tolerances. You should also have solid ability to inspect and measure components to precision tolerances. Good verbal and communication skills are essential, as well as a positive and proactive attitude toward work.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing precision components on a CNC Mill or Lathe
- Programming and operating CNC machines
- Reading technical drawings and working to tight tolerances
- Inspecting and measuring components to precision tolerances
- Australian trade certificate in Fitting and Machining Toolmaking (or equivalent)
- Experience in programming and operating CNC lathe machines (Mori Seiko, Makino, or Nicholas Correa an advantage)
- Demonstrated ability in reading technical drawings and working to tight tolerances.
- Solid ability to inspect and measure components to precision tolerances.
- Good verbal and communication skills
- Positive and proactive attitude toward work
