Cnc Machinist

This leading Australian company require CNC Machinist to join their unique and highly regarded business

Your new company 

For more than 45 years, our client has delivered innovative signage solutions and exceptional services to customers across their national contractor network. They are wholly Australian owned and provide expertise in design, manufacturing and installation.

Your new role 

Due to expansion, they are currently seeking Router/CNC Machinists to join their team based in the north/western suburbs. In this role you will be operating two CNC router machines, mainly a Multi Cam CNC router machine AND a Tekcel router machine. Your duties will include:

• Follow job sheets and interpret any accompanying design documents. 
• Translate instructions into computer commands on the CNC router machines.
• Measure and cut the desired material/s to size.
• Load the material (ACM, acrylic, aluminium sheets, timber etc) onto the router bed.
• Supervise the machining processes.
• Inspect the finished result and perform quality check to ensure the process has been completed correctly.
• From time to time, light fabrication work of various signage jobs may be required

What you'll need to succeed 

• Experience in a similar role (shop fitting, cabinet making)
• Experience in the signage industry is advantageous
• Proficiency in MS Office programs is required. 
• Familiarity with Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator and CorelDraw desirable but not essential.
• A ‘can-do’ attitude, ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, strong problem-solving skills, great communications skills, good time management skills / ability to multi-task and the ability get along well with others.
• You will also need to complete a pre-employment medical check, including a drug and alcohol screen.
