The opportunity:
Council is recruiting to fill our Multi-Skilled Plant Operator & Labourer vacancy in our Warroo (Surat & Surrounds) operating area.
About you:
You will excel as a valued team member, demonstrating your capacity to collaborate within a high-achieving team committed to safety and excellence in work practices.
Key responsibilities
- Ability to perform manual handling and labouring duties for extended periods in direct sunlight, working in difficult terrain, walking on uneven ground, prolonged sitting whilst operating plant / machinery hand and foot controls.
- Ability to safely operate a variety of mobile plant and equipment within a construction/maintenance environment, in particular, the use of a Roller and heavy combination vehicle.
- Demonstrated ability to construct and maintain Council's sealed and unsealed roads and other assets to agreed service level standards and design specifications.
- Ability to follow direction and complete tasks within allocated timeframes to required standards.
- Intermediate leadership skills with the ability to provide direction to the construction site team.
- Demonstrated ability to work productively both within a team environment and unsupervised.

About you:
To be successful you will need to demonstrate that you meet the below mandatory requirements for the role:
- Current C (Car) Class Driver Licence (mandatory)
- Current HC (Heavy Combination) Class Driver Licence (mandatory)
- General Construction Induction (White) Card (mandatory)
- Verification of Skills Level to Competently Operate Mobile Plant (Water Truck and Roller) (In-House Assessment)
- RIIWHS302D ? Implement Traffic Management Plan (Desirable)
- Certificate III in Civil Construction ? Road Construction and Maintenance (or equivalent)(Desirable)
This role will require reference checks, medical assessment including drug and alcohol screen, driver's licence check and criminal history check.
