We are a 3rd generation family owned and operated business with modern facilities and large capacity machines. We have everything you would need to excel in your role with us, great supply of machine tooling for every machine in the shop. Overhead cranes and all manor of lifting equipment to make your day to day tasks easier. We do a variety of work mostly custom 1 off parts from Yachts to mining and to our own specialist car parts range - Billet Boss.
Qualifications & experience
- Milling or boring experience is required
- A good understanding of metal cutting speeds and feeds required to efficiently manufacture parts to drawing
- A working knowledge of Heidenhain controls as all our machines have these
- Large machine experience would be a definite advantage but we will consider machinist that are ready to step up to the next level from a small machine background
- We have Mastercam available and while not required any experience would be highly regarded
- Ability to work to engineering tolerances as required and be competent in the use of measuring equipment to do, mainly outside micrometers, inside micrometers, verniers etc
- You will need to have full rights to work in Australia
- Trade certificate
Tasks & responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the set up, programming and machining of parts to engineering drawings
- General tidiness of your work area
- Machine cleaning and general maintenance like fluid levels filter changes etc
