An opportunity exists for a CNC Press Brake operator to join our highly productive team. This position will entail sheet metal fabrication and the production of metal doors and frames.
Your new role
As a Press Brake Operator, you will be a key team member in delivering high-quality outputs within customer timeframes. We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator who is dynamic, hands on, and motivated. The ideal candidate will play an important role in maintaining a high standard of product quality and offer suggestions on continuous improvement. Your role in the metal fabrication team will include;
- Daily operation of CNC Press Brake machinery including folding pressed metal door frames
- In process checks will be required by the operator to maintain all required tolerances and quality
- You will also be required to create / edit some programs depending on the part being folded
- Operation of other CNC machinery where required including CNC routers, CNC plasma cutters etc as well as guillotines as needed.
- Interpreting shop drawings to manufacture components to the customers requirements
- Performing routine maintenance and calibration of machinery to ensure all machinery stays in perfect condition
Products you will manufacture include;
- Metal fire doors, blast doors, pressure/cyclonic doors and personnel access doors
- Door frames and jambs
- Rigging and truss components
Work Hours
The basic core hours of work for this position, including one 15 minute break at and one 30 minute lunch break at, will be as follows: Monday to Thursday 7am to 3.30pm, Friday 6am to 12pm.
What you'll need to succeed
- CNC machinery experience
- Press brake operation experience
- Welding experience (preferred but not essential).
- Sheet metal/fabrication trade (preferred but not essential).
- Any experience working with stainless steel, Colorbond and aluminium is also favourable.
- Ability to work with others and a strong work ethic.
