Northern NSW Local Health District has two career opportunities available for Clinical Nurse Specialists to join their Renal Support Care teams either in Tweed, supporting the Tweed / Byron Areas or Lismore, supporting the Lismore / Ballina / Casino areas. These roles facilitates continuity of care between different phases of the renal journey, care settings, and care providers and provides comprehensive specialist knowledge, education and support in the context of a multidisciplinary framework. The position will act as a patient advocate and will play a lead role in service provision for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients taking into account their multiple health needs, concerns and preference for care.

If you have/are:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and at least 3 years’ full time equivalent clinical experience in Renal Supportive Care; with a post graduate qualification in a specialty related to Renal Supportive Care
- Experience at an advanced level in assessment, care planning and care provision of patients with Renal Supportive Care needs
- Ability to apply advanced clinical expertise in relation to clinical nursing practice and independently make decisions that support good patient care outcomes
- Effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others
