Wilderness School is a non-denominational day and boarding girl’s school educating students from Early Learning Centre through to Year 12. Since 1884, Wilderness School has prepared girls to be adventurous, courageous, responsible, and respectful learners and leaders. We are seeking a Co-educator to join our team providing our early learners with a familiar and trusted mentor and innovative facilitator of learning.
The role is for a fixed term during term 2 and term 3 (30 April 2024 - 27 September 2024). The role will be working:
- Monday to Friday
- 8am to 3.30pm
- 35 hours a week

About the role:
- Work collaboratively to provide a safe learning environment.
- Be familiar with the support, development and implementation of the ELC Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Assist with the implementation of the Educational Learning program. This includes observing, ‘noticing’ and recording children’s learning.
- Assist in physical care and safety of our youngest children including daily routines.
- Work with teachers to support the students’ social, emotional and educational needs.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Certificate III (or above) in Early Childhood Education.
- Preferable demonstrated experience in a similar early Learning environment however newly qualified candidates will be considered.
- Ability to motivate students and influence growth in student learning.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to relate effectively to students, staff, parents and community members.
- Outstanding organisational and planning skills.
