Coaching Supervisor - Lifeline Crisis Support

  • Employment Term: Permanent full -time opportunity
  • Location:  Work from home with occasional travel to one of our 10 centres across QLD 
  • Remuneration: $93,865+ 11% Super + NFP salary packaging

Your part in our Lifeline team

We are currently seeking a full-time, compassionate, professional and appropriately qualified, Coaching Supervisor to join our Lifeline Human Assisted Digital Team. This role operates remotely with the requirement to attend and occasionally work within Lifeline QLD Centres. Applications from anywhere in QLD will be considered.

The Coaching Supervisor monitors, analyses and evaluates the services to help-seekers accessing Lifeline via 13 11 14 and Human Assisted Digital, providing constructive, strength-based feedback to drive quality practice, continuous improvement and professional development. Working from a professional practice framework, be part of the positioning of Lifeline as a leading organisation with regard to emerging processes in service delivery, and crisis support practice relevant to Lifeline’s 13 11 14 telephone service, Human Assisted Digital or other delivery modes, as well as current or future collaborations between Lifeline Qld and Lifeline Australia National Office.

Reporting to Service Leader, the Coaching Supervisor accountabilities will include:

  • Working closely with Crisis Supporters. monitor, evaluate and analyse the quality and consistency of the Lifeline 13 11 14 and Human Assisted Digital Crisis Support and Suicide Prevention services, undertaking evidence-based learning needs analysis
  • In collaboration with Service Leads, Team Leaders and Centre Supervisors, support the development of individualised crisis supporter professional developmental activities as required
  • Ensure accurate documentation and recording as required in compliance with UnitingCare policies and procedures, Lifeline Australia policies and procedures and Lifeline Australia Crisis Supporter Operations Manual,
  • Contribute to and participate in working groups, network meetings and team meetings with a focus on service quality, continuous improvement and the development of practice enhancing tools and resource
  • To work with values reflective of UnitingCare and Lifeline, provide expert advice and guidance as relevant and required
  • Work with a degree of autonomy under limited direction, with a capacity to responsibly self-manage working hours that do not fall within regular office hours. Maintain confidentiality and privacy as per Policy and Procedures.
  • Undertake other duties as and when directed within the scope of the role and the capabilities of the incumbent

  • A minimum of a diploma qualification in the field of counselling or a human services related area.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor level qualification, or those who are in the process of completing such a degree.
