Working as a permanent member of Saab’s Naval Combat Systems division, the Combat Systems Delivery Lead – Functional Integration will be embedded within the CSI-IPT.
The Hunter Class Frigate Program requires a focused Integration and Evaluation program for the Combat System to consider and address integration risks as early as possible.
Further, the successful candidate will:
- Develop and maintain integration and evaluation planning for the HCF Combat System (in particular the Contract ENG-140 SINTP) that is aligned with WoS integration and test and RVCA (requirements verification and acceptance) planning
- Build and manage a Functional Integration team to deliver the planned Combat System integration and evaluation activities in the LBTS and Ship(s) as well as using opportunities to undertake earlier integration at OEM facilities
- Support the Head of Combat System and Integration’s planning and management of schedule, cost, risk and opportunity baseline and management of the Functional Integration team
- Support the LBTS Delivery team’s design and implementation of the HCF LBTS to ensure that it is aligned with planned and emergent Combat System integration and evaluation needs
- Review and align integration artefacts with Delivery Teams and OEMs
- Review, align, and evaluate integration activities with Delivery Teams and OEMs
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role.
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
- Ability to direct and influence specialist multi-discipline, multi-site teams interfacing with a wide range of providers and customers.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in the development and integration of complex System-of-systems equipment in the naval environment.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in Combat System: design, sub-system and ship inter-relationships/trade-offs, and operational usage.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in Combat System Compartment design and layout, including Ship design/build trade-offs
- Knowledgeable and experience in Ship topside design and layout for equipment, including Ship design/build trade-off
- Ability to identify and rectify design issues
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
