About the OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting opportunity for a System Safety Engineer to join our program based in either Melbourne or Osborne, reporting to the HCF Combat System Safety Lead. We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working. Make your contribution to the Hunter Class, Combat Systems safety program by engaging Combat Systems teams in product safety and environmental safety assessment activities. Support the delivery of System Safety Engineering solutions following established methodologies and standards. This includes conducting peer reviews of safety-related documentation. Key responsibilities include: Aid in crafting and upholding safety and environmental management plans for Hunter Combat Systems Develop compelling safety and environmental arguments for Hunter Combat Systems across various domains such as communications, navigation, above water warfare, underwater warfare, and information systems, often from foundational principles Document safety hazards in the Hunter Class Hazard…
