We are delighted to announce that we are looking for a Commercial Analystto support the Program Manager Commercial Readiness in each of the described activities.

The Commercial Analysts will also support the wider team in their readiness activities related to upstream (Franchise Agreement amendments), and downstream (service and supply) changes required for the operationalisation of the Metro Tunnel and support Metro Tunnel transition readiness activities, with a focus on Opex forecast and Schedule 3 recovery.

This will include negotiating the necessary process and system changes with, and internally influencing the governance and controls required in advance of any claims being made.

The role is a 2 year fixed term, and will report to the Program Manager Commercial Readiness.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Manage, plan, design and prepare all MTT Schedule 3 claims including pipeline and reporting
  • Ensure all appropriate internal governance and controls (including systems controls) are planned, designed, and delivered in advance of schedule 3 claims being made
  • Ensure all MTT Schedule claims are settled in timely manner
  • Work with other Finance and Commercial stakeholders to identify and deliver commercial readiness across the F&C Function and franchise
  • Support Analysis and reporting on MTP Opex/FTE all business districts v’s business case and DTP budget submission
  • Support Analyse establish MTP business processes (eg. EOPR) to identify and assess whether improvements are necessary, implement process improvements required
  • Support in management of all aspects of assessment of upstream and downstream contract changes and negotiation of changes with suppliers and DTP.
  • Support the management of complexities with respect to performance and EOPR introduced by the new maintenance subcontracts and providing ad hoc support and advice to internal and external stakeholders relating to MTP

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business or Program Management
  • 3-5 years’ experience within Finance/Business Analyst roles
  • Proven analytical background
  • Previous experience of stakeholder engagement with C-Suite executives.
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Experience in the preparation and collation of financial information
  • Experience in key accounting concepts
  • Experience in implementing financial & business process changes
  • Strong stakeholder management experience to work collaboratively and build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Solid report writing, analytical ability and critical thinking with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to perform complex analysis
