The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking multiple Contract Managers to provide a critical role within EM Technology and Data.
About the Business Unit
Emergency Management includes the department's emergency management accountabilities delivered through Emergency Management Victoria, Emergency Recovery Victoria, Sector Performance and Reform and emergency management statutory entities and offices. The work of the group supports the emergency management sector to work together and to strengthen the capacity of individuals, communities, government, agencies and business to achieve our shared vision of safer and more resilient communities and to rebuild and recover after an emergency.
EM Technology and Data is responsible for both national and state technology platforms that enable communications to and from the community, sector operational communications and sector information systems.
About the Roles
Contract Managers will work closely with the Head of EM ICN Commercial and Budget and project managers to assist in the management and oversight of contracts.
Some of your duties will include:
* Report on vendor performance for all ICN technology, data and state contracts; monitoring performance and taking corrective action where necessary.
* Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with the vendors responsible for providing telecommunications services to the Emergency Services sector, ensuring alignment with EMV's, and the sector's objectives and values in this area.
* Work in collaboration with the Head of ICN Commercial and Budget to assist in the transition of telecommunications contracts from ESTA to EMV. Ensure a smooth and efficient transfer of responsibilities and services.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* a strong sense of business acumen with at least 3-5 years' experience in a vendor management role within technology services. Similar experience in an emergency services specific context or managing one of the vendors listed is highly sought after but not required.
* Knowledge and experience in the management of performance-based ICT service contracts within a large organisation.
* Experience working with commercial management, technology engineering and support teams
* Ability to work collaboratively with various government and emergency service stakeholders, with excellent communication, decision making, problem solving and relation building skills.
* A relevant business qualification would be highly regarded (e.g. commerce, accounting, economics,) or an equivalent combination of education and strong business services experience are highly desirable for this position
