My client is a US-owned company in the automotive industry, based in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Having been in the automotive industry for over 100 years, this organisation has revenue of over $1.5 billion and continue to grow through the acquisition of new partners and brands.
The Role
My client is on the lookout for a Commercial Analyst to join their tight-knit and Commercial Finance team. Reporting to a Senior Commercial Analyst, you will:
Assist with the monthly management accounts and annual budget for the retail businesses;
Provide commercial support to the stores allocated to you - analysis of P&L and commentary;
Assist in the prepartion of business cases (including stakeholder consultation);
Preparation of monthly commercial reports (store sales & profit performance, CAPEX tracking);
Management of Customer Rebate program; and
Ad hoc projects.

About You
You will be an accountant with CA/CPA or working towards this, who is a natural at building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, and you're not afraid to push back when required. Ideally, you have some experience with budgeting/forecasting and are able to see more than just numbers - you can tell the story behind them and identify opportunities to drive improvement within the business. You will have solid Excel skills and are a stickler for detail.
