The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Commercial Governance Advisor to join our Strategy and Commercial team in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney or Perth office on a Permanent Full Time basis.
Reporting to the Manager Commercial Contracting and Governance, you will play a key role in ensuring APA’s Energy Solutions team are meeting commercially-relevant regulatory obligations and internal Commercial Governance requirements.
You will be driving continuous improvement of systems, processes and stakeholder relationships to achieve these governance-based objectives, underpinning a robust and high performing commercial function.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and improve in-flight transaction benchmarking, impact assessment, documentation and reporting
- Formulate responses to commercially-relevant regulatory obligations and seek stakeholder input and approvals
- Monitor, updat and interrogate key commercial systems to ensure continuous, up-to-date tracking of commercial contract positions
- Provide timely advice and support to team on Commercial Governance processes and commercial systems
- Identify and implement opportunities to optimise Commercial Governance processes and commercial systems
- Develop portfolio-wide analysis and reporting on commercial contract positions and metrics
- Monitor compliance with risk register actions and provide support for completion of risk reporting obligations
- Assist with the development of revenue forecasts and budgets, as well as preparing information in line with corporate reporting responsibilities
- Develop and maintain revenue and budget tracking tools and dashboards
Your background
- Proven work experience in professional services, commercial or regulatory analyst roles
- Experience establishing or working with governance frameworks and processes within a large organisation
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyse and report on complex commercial and regulatory subject matter with a focus on attention to detail and leveraging a diverse range of systems
- Works effectively with multiple stakeholder groups to achieve outcomes
- Takes personal responsibility and effectively prioritises to deliver on customer (internal and external) service standards and deadlines
- Identifies and responds to changing customer (internal and external) needs
About the Team
The Customer & Commercial team are the energy infrastructure contracting, customer and market specialists at APA. We are a national team, with members in 4 APA office locations and supporting assets in every Australian state and the Northern Territory. Our team is responsible for working with APA’s current and prospective customers to provide solutions for their evolving service needs.
Gas will play a critical role in the energy transition. Increasingly, it supports the amount of renewable power generation that is possible by providing a supplemental source of energy to a variety of different customer groups. This is creating a dynamic, vibrant gas market that supports a low emissions future. It is an exciting time for the Customer and Commercial team as we seek to continually evolve APA’s service offering to meet the rapidly changing needs of this market.
