Commercial Pricing Manager

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the Commercial Pricing Manager plays a pivotal role in the development of pricing strategies to optimize revenue, market share, brand positioning and sustainable profitability.
 
The role:

This role will partner with our commercial analytics team and work closely with CEO, and Leadership Team to develop strategies and processes to optimise our trading spend and pricing to drive improved margins.  
This will include an analysis of new and existing brands by Brand Partner, by SKUs and by channels.
Key accountabilities include:    

• Ensure the development of a pricing strategy by brand, by SKU, and by sales channel.
• Updating the pricing strategy to take account of foreign exchange, inflation, supply, and competitor activity.
• Working across the business to ensure that the pricing strategy is driven by data analytics, addresses financial controls, and the sales strategy.
• Responsible for the regular update and management of pricing and to ensure adherence to the pricing strategy.
• Monitor price, mix and volume variances to identify causes and propose actions to mitigate any impact on profitability.

The ideal candidate: 

• FMCG experience in similar role, with a keen interest in commercial strategy.
• Persuasive communication and influencing skills with ability to manage stakeholders to build positive working relationships across all functions of the business.
• Demonstrable ability to deliver under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
• High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all work produced.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and basic financial modelling.
