Commercial Waste Collections Manager

Citywide is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Commercial Waste Collections Manager. This position is based at our Dynon Road TransferStation and presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the day-to-day operations, profitability, and strategic growth of our Commercial Waste Collections services.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operational Accountability: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures.
• Financial Management: Take charge of the financial activities of the Commercial Waste business, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analyses, and revised projections.
• Strategic Leadership: Accountable for the overall profitability, strategic direction, and growth of the operations.
• Business Development: Identify and capitalize on innovative opportunities to expand the Commercial Waste business.
• Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and inspire a large workforce, ensuring effective divisional operations.
• Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, negotiating contracts and reviewing tender submissions.

Skill and qualifications required:

• Previous experience in the Waste industry is advantageous.
• At least 5 years' experience in Operations Management at a senior/divisional level.
• Experience managing significant assets and large teams effectively.
• Proven negotiation skills and the ability to handle people-related matters.
• Creative problem-solving techniques to address operational management issues.
• Ability to prepare strategies, budgets, and reports.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
