About the Role
Based at Moomba, with Brisbane or Adelaide as point-of-hire, the primary objective of this position is for the Development Execution’s (DevEx) permitting, purging, commissioning and start-up activities of new skid installs, flowlines & other facilities in Eastern Queensland, Cooper Basin, Northern Territory & Narrabri.
*** This is a 15 days on / 13 days off roster work.
Accountabilities are delivered in line with the Santos company values and Santos Management System (SMS). Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Actively engage with all relevant stakeholders on safety, environmental, cultural heritage and land access matters.
- Ensure Santos & contractor personnel comply with the Santos Management System (SMS) and contractor safe work procedures through critical control verifications, interactions and participation in investigations, audits and toolbox meetings.
- Recognise driving as the high-risk activity it is and always driving to conditions (as measured by IVMS index).
- Promptly report or escalate all safety, environmental, cultural heritage and land access matters, incidents or near misses in accordance with DevEx’s escalation procedure.
- Develop and maintain healthy relationships with own team, contractors and other Santos stakeholders (e.g. Production Operations).
- Actively participate and promote healthy team culture.
- Challenge & continuously improve standard practices and work methods.
- Permit hot, cold and excavation works required for Santos and contractor’s DevEx construction works.
- Coordinate or participate in the Ready For Start Up (RFSU) process as required.
About You
To qualify for this role, we are seeking for professionals with:
- Demonstrated work experience in the Oil and Gas or Mining industry.
- Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or Certificate III in Process Plant Operations qualifications or demonstrate significant training and experience within directly relevant role(s).
