The Dietitian is responsible for the provision of high quality, evidence-based Nutrition and Dietetics Services to inpatients, outpatients and staff of the NBMLHD.The successful incumbent will utilise their high level of clinical expertise and knowledge in general clinical Dietetics in evaluating and developing the services to inpatient and outpatient clients. This will include formulating and participating in regular and ongoing quality improvement activities. As a Dietitian, you will assist in designing and implementing nutritional counselling/education programs for patients and staff as required. - Up-to-date knowledge and skills in nutrition and dietetic practice, including the inpatient acute care setting
- Current experience as a clinical dietitian, with post graduate experience in a hospital setting
- Demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience and confidence within multi-disciplinary teams
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully both as part of a team and independently, while managing a high paced and high volume workload
- High level computer skills in a wide variety of applications/programs, including experience with Diet Office/Food service IT systems
- Experience in nutrition related quality improvement projects focusing on improvements in clinical patient care and/or services
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
