About the Role
This is a permanent opportunity for a Communications and Advocacy Manager to join a growing marketing and communication function. Reporting into the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for telling a story, building a growing brand, and helping to differentiate the organisation in the market. Through leading the design, delivery, and execution of a range of communications and advocacy programs you will engage their target audience groups, and support the evolution of the businesses brand and growth agenda.
As the Communications and Advocacy Manager, you will be responsible for the following and more:
Design and deliver grassroots advocacy campaign strategies that further opportunities to benefit their target market, end user, and aligns with the businesses policy objectives
Develop strategic integrated communications frameworks and content strategies
Build relationships with external stakeholders as part of their advocacy campaign initiatives, ensuring it aligns with business positions, including across industry associations, government bodies and other key stakeholder groups
Support in developing the brand identity through a variety of communication channels
Manage both internal and external communications channels, including corporate affairs, media, PR, social media, policy and more
Develop and execute the short and long-term corporate communications strategy
Engage with key internal stakeholders across the business including Legal, Compliance, People & Culture, Sales and Product teams
Skills & experience
Ideally experience in strategic communications and developing comms frameworks within a start up or scale up environment
Experience in developing and executing communications strategies for advocacy campaigns
Ability to identify and understand key technical aspects relating to regulatory affairs and policy
Creative, problem-solving mindset in regard to creating internal and external communication strategies
Tertiary qualifications in communications or related discipline
Ideally a background in creating integrated communication strategies within a highly regulated industry
Government relations experience ideal but not mandatory
