- Clerk Grade 7/8, ($106,025- $117,363) plus super and annual leave loading
About the Agency
The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities and other stakeholders.
About the role
The Communications & Engagement Officer coordinates and contributes to the production of communications content across a variety of formats and channels as well as undertakes research and project development work that assists in delivering the agency's communications and engagement strategy. This role also supports delivery of engagement activities with stakeholders and community in the Northern Rivers. You will be working on an innovative community resilience program, as part of the communication and engagement team for the Northern Rivers.
As the successful Communications & Engagement Officer, you will:
- Draft and produce a range of communications content and materials across various channels
- Support the delivery of engagement activities and events
- Implement and coordinate communications activities to support the delivery of an innovative community resilience program
- Deliver communications projects including developing and monitoring project plans and briefs, coordinating resources and monitoring budgets.

About you
High calibre candidates will have relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, engagement, public relations or journalism or relevant/demonstrated equivalent experience. You will have an ability and willingness to travel within the Northern Rivers. You will be self-directed and motivated, can work collaboratively and positively with others as well as the ability to think strategically while also having very good attention to detail.
The successful candidate is required to have capacity to travel to outer suburban and regional locations, and to be occasionally work outside of core business hours to support delivery of community/stakeholder activities. Must have driver's licence, access to a car for travel across the region and mobile phone.
