What is the Role?
An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced, motivated and proactive Communications Manager to join our collaborative and supportive team of marketing professionals. The successful candidate will develop engaging content for the School's social media channels, website, publications, internal communications and external media.
Who will the successful applicant be?
- Graduate degree in journalism, communications or other relevant qualification
- Excellent writing and editing skills including the ability to embrace the School’s editorial style across different platforms – eg web, social media, magazine, brand advertising and media releases
- Ability to write with clarity about the School’s purpose, in a way that resonates with Christian and non-Christian audiences alike
- Demonstrable successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with news media
- Comfortable with technology and optimal use of Microsoft Office suite, Meltwater, WordPress, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
- Expertise across all major social media platforms and the ability to leverage them to deliver best-in-class content in line with the marketing and relational objectives of the School
- The ability to manage competing priorities, meet set deadlines and project manage significant, often complex communications projects
Previous experience working in a school environment would be an advantage however not essential.
