Communications & Marketing Officer
About the Role
The Communications and Marketing officer is responsible for supporting the department through effective communication and marketing strategies and assist promote the services, projects and initiatives of Council to the community.
This position is Fixed Term until 24 October 2024 and can be based at any of our major regional centres (Dalby/Chinchilla/Miles/Tara or Wandoan)
Reporting to the Communication & Marketing Manager, you will:
- Providing administrative and clerical support to the Communication and Marketing team including ECM registration, minutes and agendas
- Establishing and maintaining productive working relationships while effectively using well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills to ensure that you understand the needs of internal and external stakeholders
- Providing strategic communications and marketing advice to internal stakeholders
- Maintaining productive relationships with Council business areas by coordinating collaboration strategies on behalf of the Communications and Marketing team
- Maintaining and monitoring Council's social media presence
About you
The successful applicant will have:
- Exceptional people skills and demonstrated ability to effectively deal with a broad cross-section on Council stakeholders;
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail; and
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrated editing and layout skills.
