Bring your creative writing skills to this Communications Officer role, where your storytelling skills will be used to make a difference curating meaningful content in this government department. This position will see you contributing to the delivery of an extremely high profile event. You will have the opportunity to engage with people and tell their stories across a variety of channels and will be well supported by a passionate and collaborative team as well as external agencies.
What you will do:
- Develop and implement internal and external communication content to achieve strategic goals;
- Create meaningful and consistent content across a variety of platforms including social media, web content, and event collateral and material;
- Conduct interviews and produce engaging written content and people stories;
- Support the development of content for the Annual Report; and
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and creative agencies as required.
- Tertiary qualification in Communications or other related degree;
- Demonstrated experience in creative storytelling and creating high impact content for a range of platforms;
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail;
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;
- Sense of initiative, someone who is positive and proactive; and
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships.
