What’s on offer?
We wish to complement our existing team with experienced Communication Technician (Scoper / Rod & Roper) for our NBN Project within our Fulton Hogan Utilities business.
In this role you'll be responsible for:
Infield assessment and selection of existing and/or new infrastructure required as per client specifications
Rod, Rope and proving of existing Telecommunication ducts
Looking at all options on site to avoid new build and use existing Telstra ducts
Liaising with End Users on site to gain access and survey internal building routes.
Documenting outcomes by marking up plans and taking photos of relevant areas to allow the Design to progress
locating activities of existing assets
Clear blockages either by using low pressure or high pressure water
How you'll connect to the role:
Ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Ideally a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction/engineering scoping (preferably in the Telecommunications sector)
Interpretation of telecommunication drawings – highly desirable
Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise works and work autonomously to deliver the outcomes
Proven commitment to safety, quality and environmental compliance on site
Able to work in regional and remote locations if required
