- Security - Permanent Part time role working in client’s homes across the Peninsula. All candidates must be able to work a minimum of 3 days per week (Mon-Fri) and at least 5 hours per day (between 9am-5pm – school hours are fine).
- Opportunity - Band 3 – $63,200 per annum (excl super)
About the Role
Under the direction of the Coordinator – Community Care, you will provide individual assistance and care to people with a disability and their carers, to help them live independently in their own homes and local community.
Community Care Workers will have a demonstrated commitment to the rights and dignity of people with a disability and their primary carers.
Services provided include:
- Domestic assistance
- Meal preparation
- Personal care
- Social support
- Escorted & unescorted shopping
- Respite
About You
- Certificate III in HACC, Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent.
- Previous experience and/or training or qualifications in the aged and disability sector and flexibility in hours available to work.
- Physical ability to complete household tasks and provide personal assistance to eligible residents – a Functional Capacity Evaluation will be completed pre-employment, and throughout employment as required.
- Empathy and Cultural Awareness.
- Current Victorian Drivers licence and reliable car with valid registration and insurance.
