Child and Family Health nursing position available within the dynamic, innovative NSLHD Child & Family Health Service. A Registered Nurse (RN) with Child and Family Health qualifications will find rewards in the practice which extends their role and provides a continuum of care in the support of families. The role involves working autonomously undertaking home visiting, providing child health checks, and facilitating groups. The successful applicant will have a period of orientation and once established in the team mentoring is available to develop extended skills in areas such as project management, education, and advanced clinical practice.

The NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Workforce will be compassionate, competent, confident, contemporary, capable and committed to leading person-centred health care.
Registered Nurses with Child and Family Health qualifications. This is your opportunity to join a dynamic busy well-resourced Community based Child and Family Health team working with families with children from newborn to 5 years of age. Role includes home visiting, breastfeeding clinics, facilitating groups, anticipatory guidance, and health education to promote optimum development of children, supporting vulnerable families and parents with postnatal depression and anxiety. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- NSW Registered Nurse with AHPRA. Current drivers licence recognised in NSW
- Recognised post graduate qualifications in Child and Family Health or equivalent experience
- Ability to demonstrate counselling skills, group facilitation skills and working in partnership with families
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, colleagues and other professionals both verbal and written.
