Volunteering Coffs Harbour Inc is a not for profit, community-based organisation that provides a range of programs and services to the community, including Coffs Harbour Neighbourhood Centre, Volunteering Coffs Harbour and the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme. Qualifications & experience
- Demonstrated high level community project delivery experience (minimum of 2 years)
- Demonstrated administration experience
- Experience of working with other community groups to facilitate positive outcomes for the community
- Proficient computer skills including experience using a variety of software applications, a good understanding of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel and data collection programs
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities in a busy environment
- A demonstrated understanding of data collection and supporting analysis processes
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and display a can-do attitude
Tasks & responsibilities
- Developing, implementing and evaluating responsible gambling, gambling harm minimization, health and crisis support activities and services
- Raising awareness of, actively promoting and referring to support services including free legal advice, tax advice, generalist and financial counselling, support groups, budgeting activities and other available and appropriate supports
- Supporting the delivery and facilitation of gambling education and awareness events and activities to services providers and community members
- Working collaboratively with GambleAware Mid and Northern NSW and other relevant service providers to deliver on the Program Objectives
- Arranging and participating in relevant community engagement activities
- Report writing, data collection, budgeting, and other administrative tasks
- Participation in Volunteering Coffs Harbour organisational training and activities
- Other relevant duties as required
