About the role
This position is responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with Community and other organisations, developing strong organisational systems, respond to reform demands and local issues.
The position will be also be responsible for oversite and management of Community Engagement, Events, and Emergency Relief.
About You
- Demonstrated commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose
- Tertiary qualifications ins community development, social work, youth work or a related discipline or have at least three years’ experience in the Child and Family Services system
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating groups and cultural and community events and activities.
- Strong analytical, solution focused approach with high level organisational abilities and interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong Community Engagement and consultation skills with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, in particular in the Southern and Bayside regions of Melbourne
- Demonstrated project management and project coordination skills.
- Experience in writing, preparing high quality reports and acquitting project funding.
- An understanding of client services programs and requirements.
- Well developed interpersonal skills, and proven capacity to consult, negotiate and develop networks with a range of stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
- Requirements: Comprehensive Tier 1 MARAM equivalent, or willingness to complete training requirements, current COVID-19 vaccination (Including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a valid Victorian Drivers Licence.
