The Exciting Role
As the Community Engagement Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies to strengthen the ties between our clients, staff, and the wider community. You will work closely with individuals with disabilities, their families, and community stakeholders to foster meaningful relationships and create a sense of belonging for our clients. Your exceptional skills will enable you to:
- Develop and implement Community Engagement plans to promote inclusion and participation.
- Collaborate with local organisations, businesses, and community groups to create opportunities for our clients.
- Organise and facilitate community events, workshops, and activities.
- Organise and facilitate workshops and events for iCare’s workforce and Client base.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities within the community.
- Support clients in accessing community resources and services.
- Collect and analyse data to evaluate the impact of Community Engagement initiatives.
- Work with our Recruitment team and external stakeholders to source new Support Workers for clients.
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in Community Engagement, disability support, or related fields.
- Relevant Qualifications (highly desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- The right to work in Australia and the ability to provide 100 points of ID.
- Existing or willingness to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check and Police Check.
