The Protocol and Program branch is responsible for the delivery of the official Government House program. The Team is responsible for policy, protocol and logistical matters as well as providing direct support to the Governor, Governor's Spouse, and the Official Secretary on a day-to-day basis.Duties▪ Build and maintain productive and sustainable relationships with community partners and other relevant stakeholders to deliver programs that further Community Engagement activities at Government House.▪ Administer existing community programs, including the Kitchen Garden Program, House and Garden Tours Program and identify new opportunities to expand Community Engagement.▪ Support initiatives associated with annual Government House Open Days aimed at increasing community outreach and participation.▪ Contribute to projects, activities, and engagements as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team.▪ Provide administrative and project support with the ability to develop high quality briefings, presentations, and correspondence in a timely manner.▪ Represent the Office of the Governor to various internal and external agencies and professional networks, and various local community organisations.▪ Other duties as required.Desirable requirementA higher education in a relevant discipline is desirable, but not mandatory.The closing date for this position is 12/5/2024How to apply:All applications should include:- a resume, and- a cover letter addressing the key selection criteriaAny questions you may have regarding the job vacancy please refer to the contact details on the Position Description.Other relevant information:Preferred candidates will be required to complete a Pre-employment Declaration and Consent form.
