If you enjoy working with young people in this sector, then this part-time role (4 days per week, Tues-Fri) is for you.
Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Engaging with communities and the mental health sector to promote awareness of, and engagement with, AKKF.
  • Facilitating and driving family engagement with AKKF to maintain and increase participation of young people on AKKF programs.
  • Sourcing, recruiting and engaging volunteers to support AKKF program delivery.
  • Facilitating and delivering AKKF programs*.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • The ability to engage with a variety of audiences, tailoring communication to suit the relevant audience.
  • High level administrative experience.
  • Be a proven team player who takes own initiative in supporting and achieving team goals.
  • Strong attention to detail with solutions-focused problem-skills.
  • Have a can-do, adaptable, resilient, positive, proactive attitude and approach.
  • Full driver’s license and access to own car.
  • High standard of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Maintain a current satisfactory check for working with young people, as per the relevant State/Territory legislation.
  • AKKF Programs
As programs operate outside usual business hours, your ability to work outside usual business hours is essential to your success in this role. Our camps run from Friday to Sunday including overnight, our activity days and virtual offering run afternoons, evenings and weekends, during school holidays and occasionally during the day.
