What we are looking for

A collaborative and results-driven individual with the ability to execute our multi-year fundraising strategy to achieve rapid growth in Community Fundraising programs. Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, Acquisition, the Community Fundraising Manager is responsible for driving donations, acquiring supporters and establishing impactful relationships with individuals, community groups, schools and faith-based organisations.

Your day will include

  • Budget management and informed forecasting of expense and revenue for Community Fundraising
  • Managing the successful delivery and achieving of KPIs for UNICEF Australia’s Signature Event/s
  • Optimising UNICEF Australia’s Schools Fundraising Strategy to reactivate and acquire new supporting schools, driving short and long-term fundraising revenue
  • Leading UNICEF Australia’s peer2peer fundraising response for emergency appeals
  • Employing best practice for risk and governance, identifying and mitigating threats as part of regular processes
  • Providing strategic support, guidance and professional development opportunities to/for the Marketing Executive
  • Utilising data and insights to optimise and report on campaigns and develop new initiatives

We would like you to have the following skills and experience

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in marketing, business, communications or other relevant area of study, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing Community fundraising campaigns including overseeing financial targets
  • Demonstrated experience delivering and managing in-person events
  • Knowledge and experience with CRMs (Salesforce preferred) and online fundraising platforms similar to Raisely (advanced), and/or Funraisin, Grassrootz (basic)
  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing approaches, strategic communication, reporting methods and an ability to facilitate projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in budget management and forecasting
  • Exceptional communication skills, problem solving skills and an ability to influence and persuade
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, develop relationships and turn ideas into results through a responsive, flexible and approachable attitude
