ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Allied Health department provides services to our inpatient and community programs. The team consists of physiotherapists, OTs, Dietitian, Speech Pathologist, Social Workers and Allied Health Assistants. This position requires an Occupational Therapist to work as part of the multidisciplinary team within Mercy Health which provides a service to the older person.
Summary of the role:
  • Mercy Health Albury - community based
  • Fixed term until 30/6/2025 - 40 hour fortnight
  • Provide home based assessment and interventions post hospital admission
  • Prescribe equipment, home modifications, cognitive strategies for older people
ABOUT YOU:
  • Bachelor degree or Masters in occupational therapy with current AHPRA registration
  • Experience working in aged care field (preferable) including equipment prescription, home modifications, cognitive strategies.
  • High level communication skills -verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, including utilising AHAs
