- Work with a diverse clinical case load in community NDIS and Homecare settings
- Work closely and collaboratively with our broader team to achieve patient outcomes, consisting of geriatricians, physiotherapists, speech pathologists, dieticians, exercise physiologists, behavioural therapists, podiatrists and music therapists.
- Receive ongoing mentoring and training
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and driven Occupational Therapist to join our team with a mixed caseload of patients in community as well as our upcoming clinic. This will involve travel across Metropolitan Sydney. You will be responsible for providing our clients with high quality assessments, treatments and improving patient outcomes using best evidence-based practice.
Your training will include;
- Undergo intensive 1 on 1 shadowing from our Senior Occupational Therapist (if required)
- Across a Paediatric/mental health client base
- Training has been adjusted to suit the new graduate skill set and experience.
- Travel across metro Sydney expected for Shadowing
- Work from home training opportunities will be made available
- Assistance in slowly growing your own caseload
You will be;
- Trained to provide independent professional assessment, recommendations, and therapy such as;
- Functional assessments
- Paediatric assessments
- Complex home care modifications
- SIL/ILO/SDA
- Capacity building therapy
- Assistive technology recommendations
- Complete treatment notes and NDIS reports to a high standard, and in a timely manner
- Respect client and resident confidentiality, rights, cultural beliefs and privacy
- Establish and maintain outstanding rapport with patients, residents, facility managers and support coordinators to facilitate a mutually beneficial relationship
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Passion for delivering high quality care in the aged care and disability spaces
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Valid police check
- Valid Australian driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Eagerness to work in the Paediatric space
