Job Description
The Project
The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising ACCIONA, MACA, and AECOM) has been selected as the preferred proponent to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion.
The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works includes 2km of new freeway upgrade, 3km of new freeway, separation of local roads from the freeway, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the implementation of all aspects of the project’s Communications and Community Engagement Plan
Work collaboratively with the project construction team to develop a detailed, up-to-date knowledge of the works program and communicate to stakeholders and the community accordingly
Develop management strategies for stakeholder and community issues, both current and emerging
Apply an exceptional level of attention to detail to the writing, design, production and distribution of project communication collateral
Help identify opportunities to promote key elements of project construction
Provide support and guidance to Senior Advisors, Advisors and Cadets, and coordinate team resources as required
Work effectively as part of the Community Relations management team, delivering well considered, high quality outputs and thinking on your feet when necessary.
Required Skills and Competencies
Eight+ years’ industry experience in a communications, engagement or Community Relations role
The ability to identify and manage issues proactively and effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an eye for detail
Team management experience preferred.
