The Opportunity
Due to our Acciona, MACA, AECOM (AMA) Alliance being selected as the preferred proponent on the Ring Road Completion Project we are seeking to appoint a Continuous Improvement Specialist working out of the Collingwood project office initially but moving to site as required.
The Project
The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising ACCIONA, MACA, and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion.
The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works includes 2km of new freeway upgrade, 3km of new freeway, separation of local roads from the freeway, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.
Key accountabilities for the position
This role will manage the M80 Ring Road Projects innovation pipeline by providing the operational support and oversight required to deliver the Innovation strategy. The pipeline will ensure customer, asset, and functional priorities into the Innovation pipeline, overseeing the portfolio of innovation initiatives to ensure these meet the needs of the Alliance.
Drives the Innovation strategy in collaboration with Alliance and operational requirements.
Articulating customer needs and priorities to help prioritise the innovation pipeline.
Translates alliance objectives into actionable plans, communicating, managing and analysing the implementation of those plans, and reporting back on their progress to facilitate the delivery of the innovation strategy.
Frames, evaluates and communicates the risk and reward of innovations and shows how proposed innovations will maximise the long-term value of the overall program.
Ensures consistent communication and collaboration across teams within Innovation as well as innovation members across alliance streams.
Plans for and works with relevant stakeholders to help ensure Operational Readiness in implementing new solutions.
Identifies opportunities for scaling technologies for the project
Required Skills and Competencies
Ideally you will have a tertiary qualification and have a solid foundation of experience driving Continuous Improvement on a project and being accountable for coordination of strategies and initiatives as well as tracking and managing implementation of these with end users. Construction experience highly desirable.
Advanced communication skills and able to work collaboratively and effectively with senior managers across a project
Proficient in Excel, Primavera P6, Power Bi Dashboards or similar highly desirable
