Your role
Exciting opportunities for Casual Community Service Field Officers to join our growing team at Lismore & Casino Hub Community Corrections, North District. This role is to supervise and manage offenders on mandated Community Service and coordinate the logistics of a Community Service worksite/s.
What you’ll do
You will be responsible for providing supervision and direction to offenders undertaking work projects as part of a legal order, monitoring attendance of offenders at work sites and achieving a high level of work completion by offenders. You will retain a high level of Work Health Safety (WHS) at the worksite (relevant training will be provided) and ensure offender compliance of WHS requirements. You will also be required to drive a group of offenders to and from designated worksites and supervise their work, some locations have light duties groups that are supervised in the Community Corrections office.
- Field Officers supervising outdoor worksites would benefit from having some experience or knowledge about grounds maintenance and the use of equipment including lawn mowers and whipper snippers. You would also be required to drive a vehicle while towing a trailer.
- Field Officers supervising indoor light duties groups would benefit from having some experience or knowledge about creating handmade items. Skills might include knitting or sewing.

Essential Requirements
This is casual employment under Section 43 of the Government Sector Employment Act 2013. Ability to work up to 38 hours per week as required, during the week and weekends. Successful applicants for these positions will be required to drive a group of offenders to and from designated worksites and supervise work. A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required, and it is essential for the applicants to be fingerprinted.
