ABOUT THE ROLE
For this full-time 3-month temporary role that has the potential to extend, we are looking for an experienced audit and compliance specialist who ideally has a background in healthcare or the non-profit space. This role will be integral in ensuring the organisation's compliance across a multitude of policies, procedures, and systems - auditing against the strict legislation that guides the everyday operations of non-profit organisations.
DUTIES
- Ensuring the organisation complies with relevant legislation through completing audits and database integrity projects
- Recommending improvements to the organisation to remedy any regulatory gaps
- Auditing policies, procedures, guidelines, and systems to maintain compliance
- Leading the internal surveillance audit process
- Preparing regular reports in relation to compliance operations
- Proactively mitigating potential risks that arise, and addressing non-compliance issues
- Effectively communicate with various internal and external stakeholders to project manage critical compliance projects within strict timeframes
- Maintaining the compliance register utilising GuardianERM
- Experience in an audit or compliance capacity within healthcare or Community Services is highly preferred
- Strong analytical mindset, with a keen eye for detail
- System savvy, with strong capability in utilizing tools and systems for quality monitoring and reporting purposes
- Awareness of non-profit regulation, legislations, and codes of practice are highly preferred
- Experience with internal auditing for clinical processes and/or a social welfare background is advantageous
- Previous usage of Guardian ERMS, Carelink, or CTARS is desirable
- Hourly rate of $45-50 per hour + super
- Flexible hybrid working allowing 2 days WFH per week
