Community & Stakeholder Engagement Manager

This well-respected leading contractor has a national presence in the industry, accompanied with strong portfolio of projects and pipeline for future works. Their focus is predominantly on structural and road projects although the company boasts a number of other successful results nationally.

We are searching for a talented and driven Community Engagement Managerwith a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the civil construction, ideally across TMR projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a landmark Gold Coast TMR project, managing a team of advisors, where you will play a key role in the successful delivery on this project.  

In this role you will develop and implement Stakeholder Engagement strategies to maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including local communities, regulatory bodies, and project partners. Reporting into the Project Manager, responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

• Management of community engagement on all activities and project works
• Liaise with different stakeholders (Government, property owners, local residents & community)
• Main point of contact for the project for all Community & Stakeholder queries
• Manage a team of 2 Community Advisors
• Work closely with Engineers / Project Manager to ensure delivery of project is in line with community engagement plan and adheres to legislative & safety requirements
• Implement site-specific Communication Action Plans
• Present project updates at community meetings and represent contractor in a favourable way
• Report community feedback to project teams
• Prepare publications, newsletters, presentations, media information and manage postal drops
• Additional general community engagement support and assistance to the project as required

Previous experience in a similar role within civil construction is required. DTMR or similar experience is highly favourable. Qualifications in Business, Marketing, Communications or similar is desired. This person will have strong leadership skills, be organised, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to build strong relationships with different stakeholders. Strong initiative, adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Suite and hold a white card.
