About the role
The Community Wellbeing Coordinator plays an integral role within the Community Wellbeing team at Inner West Council and reports directly to the Manager Wellbeing. The role is responsible for supervising a multidisciplinary team that develops, funds, implements and evaluates a wide range of projects, programs, grants and partnerships delivered by Inner West Council. This role and the team, work with Inner West residents, community and not for profit organisations and other local, State and occasionally, Commonwealth government agencies.
Inner West Council is known for its progressive approach to community development and local collaborations and partnerships, as well as being a thought leader in social justice. The Wellbeing Teams work across and in collaboration with the diverse demographic of the Inner West Local Government Area and the agencies and organisations that work with them. This includes but is not limited to older people, children and young people, LGBTQ+ community, those living with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse and multicultural communities, those experiencing homelessness and other vulnerabilities.

Remuneration
$110,097 - $123,948.76 + 11% Superannuation
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, human services, community services, community development or other relevant discipline.
Several years of experience working with a multidisciplinary team in the government or not-for-profit sector and an understanding of current issues in the community and/or human services sector.
Demonstrated experience and ability to lead and supervise a team and influence their ongoing professional development.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated level written and verbal communication skills including report writing, research and presenting to different stakeholders.
