The Role
This position is a 12-month fixed term contract. The purpose of this role is to assist the Head of Compliance to develop, implement and maintain the compliance framework. The key responsibilities of the Compliance Manager role include:
Assisting with the ongoing implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the compliance framework in Australia and New Zealand including the AML Framework.
Assisting with the ongoing implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the compliance monitoring program across Pepper’s business activities.
Reviewing, analysing, and interpreting existing and new laws, regulations, rules, standards, industry codes as they apply to Pepper Money business activities and providing updates, training and communications to internal stakeholders.
Maintaining compliance registers (including obligations registers), policies, procedures, and documents.
Providing compliance advice and support on business initiatives including marketing initiatives.
About you
Regulatory compliance experience gained within a banking/ financial services industry.
Compliance experience in consumer lending.
Experience in relation to developing and maintaining an Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism of Financing framework.
Experience in the delivery of a compliance framework/monitoring program
Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong technical skills and knowledge of the financial services regulatory environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Teamwork focus with excellence in driving results and delivering desired outcomes within required timelines.
