In the RBS CCO (Chief Controls Office) function we enable the delivery of better, sooner and safe customer outcomes through superior risk management practices. Our priorities are to inspire, partner, innovate and simplify.
The CCO teams operate with Agile Ways of Working following the Pace model to deliver Risk and Compliance solutions sooner and safer in partnership with our business.
We design innovative risk solutions for competitive advantage and deliver them at Pace. We seek to modernise capability in emerging risks. We actively remain current with industry trends and regulatory headwinds so that our Risk and Compliance solutions are pro-active, timely and value adding.
Delivering Risk and Compliance solutions across an agile workforce requires highly effective, passionate and motivated Project Managers. This is where the role of Project ManagerOperational Risk and Compliance Delivery come in.
This is a Fixed Term/Secondment opportunity until 30 June 2025

As a Project ManagerOperational Risk and Compliance Delivery, your role will be to:
Work with the Senior Project Manager to deliver the agreed scope to the required schedule using the available resources following the Pace delivery model
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across RBS Line 1 Risk, Line 2 Compliance, Line 2 Operational Risk, and Line 2 Financial Crime Compliance.
Orchestrate the safe delivery of the agreed outcomes using Agile Ways of Working and the group work taxonomy (Initiatives/Epics/Stories)
Provide project management expertise and acumen in support of the Pace quarterly planning for Non-Financial Risk (NFR) change initiatives and regulatory (Reg) change initiatives
Provide project management governance over in-flight NFR and Reg change initiatives in scope of the current quarter.
Provide project management guidance and effort estimation expertise in relation to NFR and Reg change initiatives in scope of the next quarter
Design, develop and report on metrics/measures and dashboards that provide the “belts and braces” around the portfolio of in-flight NFR/Reg change initiatives and pipelines of future change initiatives
Assist in the preparation of planning materials, slide packs, exception reporting, dashboards, metrics for the monthly Risk Business Partner (RBP) planning meeting
Manage the advanced roadmaps, scrum boards, kanban boards of the NFR/Reg Change Front Door in Jira
Help to design reporting and dashboards in Jira and PowerBI to realise the CCO vision of providing exceptional, value-adding and leading Risk and Compliance management capabilities
Participate in and lead (as scrum master) the Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint retros, sprint reviews) of the WWA Compliance Policy and Change (CPC) team
Help to manage the Agile backlog in Jira and take the opportunity to become a Jira Champion within the team
Support the broader WWA CPC team to deliver on its priorities by maintaining relevant Jira boards and assisting with other deliverables where required.

Agile delivery experience is not mandatory but is highly valued.
Experience in the banking and finance industry is not mandatory but is highly valued.
