Role
With the ongoing expansion of our HR/MR and Light Vehicle fleet and services and award of multiple long-term contracts providing pipeline and waste management solutions, we are currently looking for an experienced and highly motivated candidate for the position of Compliance Manager to join our team.
The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all compliance activities are completed properly and efficiently to meet legislative, company and client expectations and requirements.
What we are looking for
Successful candidates MUST have:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality, ISO45001 WHS & ISO14001 Environmental standards
- Knowledge and experience of relevant legislation or standard relating to WHS and Environmental Management
- Quality auditing and reporting of internal procedures (desirable)
- Incident investigation and reporting
- Cert IV WHS (or willing to obtain)
- White card (or willing to obtain)
- National Police Clearance (desired)
- Strong ability to problem solve
- Work closely with the Operations Managers / team leader and administration staff to support day to day operations
- Be enthusiastic, reliable and communicate effectively
- Develop effective working relationships with all employees
- Ability to meet all WHS&E obligations
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
- Provide two recent references (Mandatory)
Main Activities and Responsibilities
- All facets of maintaining the company's Integrated Management System
- ISO standard maintenance and audits
- Internal WHS audits
- Management, Operations and Toolbox reviews and meetings
- SDS register and maintenance
- Preparation and distribution of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs)(with Ops Manager)
- Preparation and maintenance of Workshop, Plant and Hazardous Substances risk assessments (with Ops Manager)
- Client and supplier reviews
- Assist with Tenders and EOI preparation and submissions
- Assist in organising and maintaining the Training and Induction matrices
