  • $47+/hr + super + free onsite gym
  • Up to: 5 weeks annual leave + 15 personal days + reproductive leave
  • Monday – Friday, 9 day fortnight (RDO) available

About the Opportunity

The QTU is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our small team based in Milton.  This is a fixed-term opportunity of 6 months, reporting to the HR Manager. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and updating the existing policies, procedures and guidelines for all Corporate Services such as HR, ICT and Finance. 
  • Reviewing legislation and consulting with stakeholders to determine the requirement and implementation of new policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Conducting risk assessments to positively contribute towards best practice and compliance. 
  • Providing training to educate employees on the policies, procedures and guidelines relevant to their roles.

About You

To be successful in this position you will have: 

  • Experience in policy development or compliance management preferably within the Corporate Services function. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in planning, implementing and completing projects within the scope and timeframes.

The Union is now the professional and industrial voice of more than 48,000 members including teachers, principals and TAFE educators in Queensland state primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, TAFE institutes and other educational facilities.
